Were you one of the lucky ones who managed to pick up a copy of Gabe Wong’s 2012 Animals of Alberta/Animals of Canada Calendar before they sold out? The very talented Edmonton-based designer released and sold out of his most recent design undertaking within a matter of weeks from their release. And with 10% of the profits from the sales of cards and calendars going to the Nature Conservancy of Canada it’s hard to imagine any being left.

The Manual – A Periodical Project by Andy McMillan

On February 10, 2011, just three days into starting their kickstarter project The Manual had already received over a third of it’s goal funds. In the last seven months the project, which aims to act as a “new, beautifully crafted journal that takes a fresh look, in print, at design on the web” will be published three times a year—with the first ready to order in Mid-September.
